Chapter Eleven

Confirmed Mass Murder

After finally getting to sleep that night, I woke up just before eleven the next morning. After the usual toiletries, I went out into the foyer to confirm my order for some food and some coffee for myself. My breakfast arrived thirty minutes later, it was delicious, as was the hot coffee. About three hours later Layla returned and she kissed and kissed me for some minutes.

Apparently, she already knew what had happened with the army captain and she laughed about it all. After waiting for Layla to go out, which she finally did nearly an hour later, I cut a little slit in the mattress and hid my passport and return airline ticket inside the mattress. I had probably seen the last of my money but I was going to make sure that at least these two items were in a safe place. For the next eight days there was a decided improvement in my situation.

That army captain or whoever he was, did come to see and speak to me every day. He even waited for two hours until I returned from a big walk-a-round on one occasion. During these visits I saw him speaking quite severely to some of the gang members in his own language. Good, I liked it, I enjoyed watching them wriggle and squirm under this guys shouting.

Ramos stayed well clear of me after his humiliation in front of his personal staff, and when I did get the chance to speak to him I asked him if I could have my money back. He said, ‘Yes of course’. But five days later he told me that my money had got mixed up with some other money and that it had all been sent to his boss.

Looking at him for some time, he shrugged his shoulders and said that I would never get my money back now. Still believing that I was Dracula, I tried applying a bit of pressure on Ramos by saying that I would kill everyone connected to ‘The Meeting Place’.

I also said that I would make it my business to make a spell on him where he would eat spiders three times a day for the rest of his life. As an afterthought, I added that I would make another spell for him where he could not enter a Catholic church for the rest of his life. He visibly crumbled before my eyes and I walked round to the door to stop him leaving.

Raising my top lip very slowly and making my face look angry, I said, ‘How do you think I fixed the toilet and shower with no tools’. Adding, ‘How did I know the numbers of the cards in the foyer, I used magic of course. Would you like me to make your hair grow very, very long. Every time you cut it, your hair will grow twice as fast and your hair will try to strangle you every night of the full moon.
